While ITV is rife with shows on extramarital affairs with one’s own brother-in-law, almost twenty years ago there existed a show well ahead of its time. It was about two sisters who loved each other with their dear lives and how the elder sister’s husband takes an eighth vow to respect his wife’s commitment to her mentally challenged sister. *Spoiler* While eventually the two get together, it’s only post the sister’s demise. They get together only because they understand each other’s pain of losing their most beloved better than others. Also until well after her death, the two shared a platonic bond.
