Gen Leap in Serial is Right or Not

Is it showing Generation leap is right or not... Many serial Have take the generation leap ....mnit matter it make sense or not. sometime it's work and sometimes it's not... How much it's right to show generation leap when your previous story is left incompleted...n For me if they show promise sole person story, journey or bio then generation leap shouldn't be there.... Because audience watching for that one particular character like Anupama and Anandi (Balika Vadhu) But if show is normal family drama and they shown almost all the aspect of one gen than its ok to move on with different gen (most time it's happened they move to next gen without giving closure to previous gen) Like yrkkh, kunkum bhagya, udaayia... What you thing at what's case gen leap is justifies and what cases not ...
