What is it with australia and Indian cricketers retiring

Rahul dravid and vvs laxman played his last test match against australia in australia; Ganguly's last appearance for India was against australia and so was that of kumble; Dhoni and his csk connection both retired against australia, that too midway. Won't be surprised if this list extends to Rohit and Kohli since both are 35+. Is this just a coincidence or does this BGT get the best out of people and makes them philosophical about cricket, their careers and life itself ? In other words does the kangaroo just punch on their faces ?
