'Earliest One Nation One Election Possible Only In 2034', Says Chair Of Joint Parliamentary Committee PP Chaudhary

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP PP Chaudhary, chair of the Joint Parliamentary Committee on the ‘One Nation, One Election’ Bills, stated that the earliest possible implementation of simultaneous elections would be in 2034, as per the draft legislation. He added that the committee may propose constitutional mechanisms, such as a constructive vote of no-confidence akin to Germany’s system, to maintain electoral alignment across the country.
