Wasted 40 mins of a digital arrest scammer

Yesterday I got a call from a US number saying they are from SBI and my credit card was used for a transaction of 168000 at Mumbai and that I must file a complaint at cyber cell Mumbai. I just kept on talking - told them I've never used my Aadhaar card anywhere for the last 10 years, I have only 1 bank account, no credit cards, there is no way anyone must have used my aadhar since I've kept it very securely at home, never taken a photocopy of my Aadhar and so on. When asked for my info, I used my original name (something they will have anyway from truecaller) but gave every other information wrong. SBI guy told me his name as Vinay Kumar Malhotra and gave me transaction id, card number, date and time etc which I wrote down and got transferred to Mumbai cyber cell. When I started talking to the new guy, I just spiced up the story by saying Vinay Kumar Malhotra stole the money from SBI and I am raising a complaint on behalf of SBI, since it was a card in my name. I played stupid, but also not too much so that they would suspect something. Also played as if I know very little English and Hindi. Said I'm a mid-level accountant at a warehouse in Bangalore. For the video call, I opted for whatsapp call and got a message from <90 325 429 85>. I did not want to get on a video call and it was already 40 mins, so I called his bluff and hung up. Posting this here to tell <people who can play along safely> to waste the scammers' time, so that they could scam at least 1 person less.
