What is up with this f’d up exam schedule

I don’t understand why students can't have just one exam per day. Having two exams in a single day feels like pure torture. Why doesn’t anyone question this practice? It really needs to be changed. The second exam often goes poorly simply because there isn’t enough time to prepare adequately between exams.
