Hey everyone, I’ve been in discussion with the librarian sir about improving how we track students entering and exiting the library. Right now, we have the registers at the desk with SIS guards, where we manually sign in and out. However, we have the option to switch to a digital system, where students would just enter their roll number on a computer at the entrance and exit—similar to what we already do at the main gate for late-night returns. The software for this is ready, but I haven’t installed it yet because I’m unsure whether it’s actually a better alternative. Would you prefer the current manual system or the new digital system? Any concerns or suggestions before moving forward? Looking forward to your thoughts!
