Reality Check

Since my school days I didn't have many friends and after coming to the campus I started making friends (mostly male) and after awhile I also made a few female friends aswell but recently I developed some feelings for a friend of mine now I really don't know what should I do? Essentially the girl is basic, not into much trouble and stuff so there is no competition to get her... I just like the simple things about her... But I really don't want to confess as it might result in a bad situation between us. Note: I had relationships before this, but this time I don't have the courage to ruin this friendship. Any suggestions?
