Is this normal?
I live in a 2-sharing room, and since the start of this sem, my roommate's friend (who isn't even from our hall) has been living with us. He said that he lost his cot during Illu, and he's been here ever since the start of this sem. This person is really noisy, has a very cranky laugh, and not only watches his phone with the volume at max at night, but also talks about batchmates, juniors, actresses etc etc in an inappropriate way (yes, it's exactly what you might be thinking) not just once in a while but every single day. I honestly feel bad for these girls. I'm a light sleeper, and I have 8 am classes every day. Normally, he and my roommate aren't in the room when I go to sleep, but every night I end up waking up suddenly because of them. Initially, I used to get angry, but eventually, I felt helpless and started getting regular headaches. When I talked to my friends, they said it wasn’t a big deal, but it’s been affecting me. I finally asked for help from some seniors, and thankfully, my roommate’s friend got his own cot last week. I thought that would solve the problem, but now he’s still in our room almost every day, and I started to get some doubts. They’ve become super close since the winter camp—they sleep in the same bed, go to classes together, eat together, be together, everything together and even brush their teeth together. I struggle to sleep in this bed even though I am skinny but these guys sleep in 3/4th of bed every single day. I don’t know if it’s normal for people to get this close so quickly, or if Am I overthinking this situation? It just feels really weird to me. Is this normal to get this close so quickly?5
