Taking a drop for IIT JAM examination.
Hi guys. I am 21 years old. I graduated from BSc (Physics , Chemistry) in September 2024. Results came in November so was unable to join any college so hence it is considered a year drop. I am giving my jam examination in chemistry subject and my exam is on 2nd feb 2025 and i know i will not clear it and will not get any iit. I am about to take one more year drop for this examination and i will give this in 2026. I want to do MSc Chemistry from top iits because it will be beneficial for my career since i will do it from iits. I thought of giving cuet pg and i can clear it and get any central universities like DU etc. But i don't want to get into any central ones because there will be no career opportunities after that. Need your opinion, advice or whatever you want to say about my situation. Is it worth taking a year drop ( collectively 2 year drop) for getting into top iits like Bombay, Delhi or etc? And also if someone is doing MSc ( specifically chemistry) from any iits plz share your experiences, about on-campus and off-campus placements and is it worth doing MSc from iits??2
