Genuine question: will police register a complaint for stolen crocs in hyderabad?

Bought the crocs 2 months ago, and now someone stole it at 2am in the night from our apartment. Can I file a complaint, as it's a theft? It's footwear but it costed me ₹2.5k. let me know if there's any way to file complaint , preferably online complaint forum, as I don't want to visit police station, due to my previous experience with police, I'm quite sure they won't even listen to these type of complaints.
