Is dropping out college as bad as people say it is?

23M here I dropped out of college twice as I didn't wanted to continue my studies due to personal reasons. I was never a bright student neither good in studies, I was an average student. I never liked going to school or college honestly. So I never understood why people chase after getting a degree in careers where there is dead end. Like other than you are an IITian or so you would expect an higher salary, I am not advocating to not to complete your graduation what I am trying to say is that society is such that only doctors or engineers make good money and have a better life. People who can't be engineers or doctors are so stressed in life they can't enjoy their professional life as well as personal.
