I have a dream…
Where me and my wife start from our house in shared auto to reach Nallagandla and board a metro from there. She drops at Kondapur and I change from Raidurg to reach my office at Knowledge city. It has an underground station and the line extends all the way to Banjara Hills. At Raidurg interchange I meet my colleague who comes from Medchal through MMTS. Unlike the old MMTS we now have tracks dedicated for local trains during peak hours and MMTS is always on time. He boarded the metro from hi tech city station and we talk about new metro extension line from parade ground to Shamirpet. At work some of us make plan for Saturday afternoon. The majority of us want to go to KBR park instead of AMB mall thanks to Banjara Hills metro line. It is completely underground and runs under the park. We laugh at an old news of making a road tunnel that runs under kbr park. How foolish it would have been. Also KBR park is now open all day from morning 6 AM to 5 PM. Thanks cubbon park for the inspiration. I notice some school kids coming back from Begumpet all by themselves. They look really smart in their blazers that has HPS logo on it. A city has really excelled when even the rich use public transportation. At home our domestic help offers us sweets as she has finally bought a new 2 bhk flat somewhere in the outskirts of Shamshabad. We are happy for her but worried that she might have to find work near her new flat. She tells us travelling to Nallagandla is manageable from her new flat by metro. I feel really proud of my city for providing affordable mobility options for all kinds of people. “I have a dream” is a famous speech by Martin Luther king Jr. Those who have studied under JNTU would remember it. This is just a light hearted post. Try to keep trolling to a minimum.🤞3
