5 months ago my NDPS case got closed. Can I go to USA for doing master

A year and half ago me and 2 of my friends were caught with LSD, the dealer snitched. Although it was a small quantity which was only for us, the police wanted to make a big scene in the city and showed intermediate quantity including other drugs which weren't even there on us. We were sent to Chanchalguda for 21 days and due my dad's political connections I was able to come out in just 21 days. The CI helped us with chargsheet a little bit after one full year of coming out the case got closed. I was devastated because I was just done with my college and during that time I was applying for the colleges and fucking got into that trouble. Now I really want to go abroad so bad and I am so scared the Visa would get rejected. I need someone to tell me the truth. I don't know who to ask, my aunt who lives in US keeps forcing me to come there since it's been almost 2 years since I graduated and was supposed to go and she doesn't know about this case :/.
