Why does my mind go to other gods if my Ista is Shiv ji? Like every few days it goes to different gods and then comes back to Shiva?

It’s honestly so confusing because every few days it goes to different gods and then goes back to Shiva, like I’m trying to understand the meaning behind it so if anyone knows please help me.
