Does meditation/Samadhi in Hinduism has this kind of formulas?
I often see that Hindus say Buddha copied meditation from Hinduism. Does Hinduism has these formulas mentioned in Yoga Sutras? I learned this from Buddhist monk Ajahn Sona and he said the formula works instantly if you can arrange these requirements and you can enter a pleasurable meditation state. 7 factors of Awakening:- 1. Mindfulness 2. Investigation 3. Energy/motivation 4. Pleasure (Once motivation stabilises Pleasure comes with command "Pleasure arise") 5. Serenity (At this point the mind is easy to control and just command it to be serene) 6. Concentration (concentration comes naturally if you can arrange the previous demands) 7. Equanimity. (equanimity comes naturally if you can arrange the previous demands). Ajahn Sona said that anyone who develop these qualities will be able to taste the honey of Enlightenment and he claimed that Buddha gave a logical formula that works without faith or devotion just like mathematics. He also mentioned these are temporary i.e. even though you managed to experience Enlightenment that was temporary and for permanent Enlightenment you need to maintain these qualities 24/7. I tried these methods and they truly work Instantly and I can feel my body and mind filling up with pleasure. Unlike faith based techniques that require some god gate keeping that ecstasy.3
