Where to socialize and make friends?

Im from IT background and did engineering, i'm someone who hasn't even dated or had female friends. I work remotely, and in office also i have no friends because of age and working remotely. Im 25 and want to make friends, are there any concrete methods, please give your suggestions. It doesn't feel good nowadays to be like this at all.
