Recommendations and suggestions for Christmas and New Year

I'm going to be alone for the next few days so need some suggestions on how to best spend this time. I have taken leave from office so I'll have time on my hands. Usually I travel to some destinations during this time but haven't really decided to go anywhere yet. I've been to almost everywhere in the hills so don't want to repeat and been to a couple of trips in the recent past so not too keen.
