How to make friends as an Adult ?

I am 26M , came here few months ago , know no one here. I already have a hard time in making friends , I have only 2 friends( college se) but both live in different places now. I made a friend/acquaint here in Gurgaon from my gym but he switched his job and moved to bangalore. Now I am again left with no friends. My colleagues are toxic. How to make meaningful friendship as an adult ?
