How is living and working in Delhi/Gurgaon?

Hi, I’m 31 (F) currently living in Mumbai with my husband. I’ve spent most my adult life in Mumbai (grad, post grad and work). I’ve also lived in Bangalore for work for \~2 years. In both these cities, I’ve (almost) never felt threatened about my safety and have enjoyed a good life. However, my husband has been recently offered this amazing job based in Delhi. Co-incidentally, I too am interviewing for a job based in Gurgaon. While we are pretty excited about this new move, there is also a nagging fear of safety & pollution in Delhi/Gurgaon that’s keeping us from saying YES to both our offers. So, I would like to hear from you folks (who have experienced life in these cities) how is it to live in Delhi & Gurgaon? Is safety an issue, esp. for women? What’s the work culture like in these cities?
