Dairy Free Ice Cream

Why is it so difficult to find dairy free ice cream in Goa. i.e Sorbet, Soy alternative etc Whenever I ask for dairy free ice cream it's like I am speaking a different language 😂 or the disgusted look I get from the vendor. Any recommendations would be good. Thanks
