What will be the significance of Keri-Tiracol Bridge?
So, this is coming from a non-local who's been to Goa a couple times and in the last visit got a chance to see the dilapidated section of what would have been/could be a section of a bridge over the Tiracol river. I tried finding it and appears the construction started in 2014 but was later halted by multiple parties objecting to it. The most recent development on it seems to be this article [https://www.heraldgoa.in/goa/supreme-court-sets-aside-ngt-orders-allowing-construction-of-tiracol-bridge/223997](https://www.heraldgoa.in/goa/supreme-court-sets-aside-ngt-orders-allowing-construction-of-tiracol-bridge/223997) which again has halted the resumption of the bridge work. It seems that Tiracol is the only land belonging to Goa which further is a minuscule amount of land in an otherwise land belonging to Maharashtra. If Tiracol area needs to be connected to Goa, there are ferries operating and also a bridge which connects Keri to Aronda. Is this bridge even needed? I am sorry if it comes across as insensitive as I lack any info or background on this and which is the reason behind this post. What is the importance or significance of this bridge?5
