Please do not feed all these trolls trying to incite anger over beef bans

Please ignore these people. There is no beef ban in Goa. There is no plan for a beef ban in Goa. There will not be a beef ban in Goa for the foreseeable future. We had a two day halt in beef sales **BY BEEF TRADERS**. The halt is over now & beef is available again. The traders did this to protest harassment by a small segment of the population. That harassment is not condoned by the government or by the vast majority of Goan Hindus. This harassment, extortion and violence are legitimate issues & should be dealt with by the government, but it does not reflect the relationships the vast majority of Hindu, Muslim, and Catholic population have had in Goa for generations. We have always treated each other with tolerance & respect for each others culture, religious beliefs & practices. Let's not allow some trolls pushing some imaginary beef ban ruin all that. I believe that all these people pushing this fiction are not just misinformed, but actual malicious actors trying to incite religious hostility. Let's not let them win.
