Cancellation of Car RC

Anyone has experience or know of the process of canceling the Car RC in Goa please DM. We had sold our car to a man from UP and it's been 3 months now since he said he'll do the transfer on his own. The RC is going to expire next year anyway but I want to get rid of my name from the RC because he seems to be using it. Please do advice what I should be doing.
