A pilot aspirant

So, ive my boards this year, yet to clear even my class 2 medical, im just exploring this field, and have a few doubts 1. Is convential way of getting your CPL better or a cadet program? 2. which cadet program would you recommend to aim for? 3. is it better to go for becoming a pilot directly after 12th or does getting a degree put you in a better position of getting hired?
