I have some questions on what routes India has to offer for someone to become a commerical pilot.
Hi, quick backstory I'm a 17 year old male from the United Kingdom and both of my parents were born in Punjab. I'm a full British national however I do possess an OCI (for those that don't know I can do pretty much everything a full Indian national can do except vote and buy agricultural land). I'm thinking about possibly moving to India to study to become a pilot due to the significantly lower costs. Does anyone know what issues I'd face? Or how the typical Indian who wants to be a pilot becomes one? Literally any information you have that would be relevant I'd take it with open arms and with much appreciation. If you need to know anything further about me I'm happy to tell you so. (Stuff about me if you're interested in answering) I am fluent in both English and Punjabi (yes reading and writing), I can understand Hindi but you may know what a Punjabi is like speaking Hindi. My GCSE (10th class equivalent I think) grades as per the UK grading system are: 8 - Chemistry, 8 - Punjabi, 8 - Design + Technology, 8 - Geography , 7 - Maths, 7 - Physics, 7 - Biology, 6 - Spanish, 6 - English literature and 5 - English language. The grading system is 9-1 (U is a fail), so all my grades are relatively high seeing as though the pass grade is 4 and it's pretty obvious my English is good (the tests on English here are usually about writing stories). At A-level (12th class equivalent?) I currently study Geography, Physics and Maths. Sorry for the absolute wall of writing above but I'd very very very very very much appreciate any help.1
