We learned about a Taxi Scam.

We were travelling from Ujjain to Omkareshwar and damn the Taxi - Travel people are exceptionally crooked. So we booked a Taxi for 4k and clearly asked him to reach out hotel by 6AM because we have to catch train in the evening and we need to be back as per the Trains Time which was 6:30PM. The Driver arrived late, 7:30 precisely. Then we started out journey and just we barely covered 2 Kms and the Taxi driver stopped at a Petrol Pump and asked us to give him 3k to refill diesel. We said that this was not the deal and the main contractor asked us to give only 1k to the driver for the same which we agreed but he instantly asked for 3k and didn't even bargain about it. We called the mediator/contractor and the guy was super unprofessional and we just asked him to drop us back at our hotel. It turned into a weird mess and our advanced payment also went down the drain. Beware please, these people are weird. Our last day of the trip got spoiled because of it and we had to sit in the lobby of the hotel for some hours before we could get another room in another hotel cuz our earlier one had no spare room anymore. (Do not travel on Sundays ever!!!!) Edit: also the guy asked us where we were from and we said Jaipur and he said that "oh ye jaipur delhi wale sab hote hi ese hai....shsmalahsmsk"
