Interning in ONGC Dehradun - Need Advice on Travel and Affordable Accommodation as a first time traveller.

I'm traveling to Dehradun for the first time this February as part of my internship and will be visiting the **Institute of Drilling Technology Kaulagarh**. I'll be arriving at Dehradun Airport. Can anyone guide me on the best way to reach the institute from there? Also, I'll be staying for about 6-7 days and need budget-friendly accommodation. Any recommendations for places to stay nearby? Any hostel like accomodations
