Why is Dehra so lonely 😭

So, I have had an on-off relationship with the town. My dad studied from here so I used to come to dehradun as a kid, then I myself spent years studying in a boarding school here and kept coming back everywhere year because I felt so much more at home in dehradun than my own hometown. Finally, I took the leap and shifted to the town 8 months back, hoping to find the magic of my childhood back again. But damn, has it been challenging. 1. Dehradun has changed drastically. The peace I had felt here has eroded with the over development. 2. It is SO dead here. People are so reserved. I don’t remember it being like this in the past. The town used to be so much more sociable. 3. This is silly. But I live on the outskirts where after dark and until morning, one locks themselves inside fearing leopard encounters in this season. What does one do? How do I get out of this lonely state of mind? Please help. 🥲
