Is dehradun property market broken?

Why are the property prices so freaking high in dehradun? Is the property market such that if i dont buy a land today, this land is going to get 1.5x or maybe 2x next year? This does not make sense at all! Anyways, typical pahadi parents, asking to take loan to buy property which obviously puts me in a big freaking hole and their argument is that property price is going to get double next year? This does not make sense to me. So help me understand what the heck is gling in dehradun property market.
