Doubts regarding siruvani water and hair care

Hey really new to Coimbatore. So there is borewell water here which people call salt water and then siruvani water. Can I know what soruvani water exactly is. I understand its good water coming from siruvani river. But what I'm interested is in , is the water coming here chlroinated? Is the water hard? Google says it is the softest and cleanest water. Will I have any hair problems after using the water to wash my hair? Do you all use it? And what's up with borewater being salt water . I understand its due to more mineral content. But is that better for your hair or how does it work?
