Unpopular opinion - Gukesh should retire from Chess - Use his amazing Brain in another field
Congratulations to Gukesh to becoming the youngest chess world champion, ever. He has achieved the impossible. But this is just the first step in his life. He is just 18 years old, with a powerful brain. Now he should use this wonderful brain to contribute in another cutting edge field and achieve another milestone for India. He is not under financial pressure, he can choose any field that he likes. Like Elon Musk. Elon does not have degree in every technology, but he thinks out of box, and builds successful global business. He has an wonderful brain for technology. He learns new technologies even at this age. Only in India people decide their career at 17, and never change it. Ex. 17 year old mechanical engineer will be a mechanical engineer all his life. Same applies for doctors, lawyers, CPAs, IT coders, etc etc. They forget that age is no bar to learning stuff. I know that money and getting settled matters, but Gukesh has a good family background and has the brain power to learn multiple stuff. I am saying he should forget about everything, become a child and choose a technology and use his brain power to learn it. I am sure he can grasp it faster than normal people. What do you think? Should he stick with chess till he retires or contribute to many cutting edge technologies and achieve more and more successes?3
