Second hand bike

I am looking to buy a second hand bike, preferably unicorn but open to buying any other bike as well. Any suggestions/recommendations are most welcomed. Basically I am clueless as to what should be the price range that I can expect as this is the first time I am buying a second hand bike. I am also not sure what factors i should look for while buying a second hand bike.
