My Plans for Future Chennai Metro Lines

I commute daily through the inconveniences caused by the metro construction & the resulting traffic jams. But when I'm in that traffic, I always think how convenient it'd be once this is complete. Then, it occured to me that I could form my plan for future metro lines, just as a thought experiment 😄 There will be 5 lines of metro (6 if you consider MRTS) with the end of current phase - scheduled 2028 - 2029. I added 2 more phases (for 2040 and for 2050) Phase 3 (End of 2040) Line 6 - Neelankarai to Ambattur OT (42 Km) Connecting: Thoraipakkam, Radial Road, Pallavaram, Kundrathur, Mangadu, Velappanchavadi, Ambattur IE, SIDCO Industrial Estate, Ambattur Railway Station Line 7 - Tiruvanmiyur Bus Stand to Mudichur (26.5 Km) Connecting: Tiruvanmiyur Railway Station, Taramani, Velachery, Pallikaranai, Medavakkam, Selaiyur, Tambaram Extend Line Airport to Kilambakkam (13.5 Km) Connecting - Pallavaram Chromepet, Tambaram, Perungalathur, Vandalur Extend Line Poonamallee to Parandur Airport (Almost as the authorities have planned) Extend Line Sholinganallur to Akkarai Added so that ECR can be connected Phase 4 (End of 2050) Line 8 - Kovalam to Sriperumbudur (43.7 Km) Connecting - Kelambakkam, Mambakkam, Kolapakkam, Vandalur Zoo, Mannivakkam, Mudichur, Somangalam, Pillaipakkam Line 9 - Chennai Beach Station to Pattabiram (31.5 Km) Connecting - Royapuram, Stanley, Vyasarpadi, Moolakadai, MMBT Roundabout, Surapet, Ambattur OT, Avadi, Hindu College Railway Station Line 10 - Kilambakkam to Chengalpattu (24.5 Km) Connecting - Entire stretch along GST Road till Chengalpattu Railway Station / Bus Stand. Total length at the end will be 445 Km in the next 25 years. Delhi metro in 25 years of span has 400 km of network, so this seems realistic.
