How to do Vadapalani temple register marriage?

One of my NRI friends is planning to marry in February in India. She will be here in Feb so planning to do the Marriage at Vadapalani temple and register their marriage. If anyone has done this before can you please help out? I want to know the experience and how to proceed in the registration office. We can get photos of the couple exchanging garlands and a chain at the temple. (She doesn't believe in thaali) would anything else be needed? We need to go via Hindu Marriage act since the couple plan to stay for less than 2 weeks in India.
