Getaway for weekend from Chennai?

Hey guys, Can you suggest a good get away from Chennai for the weekend? It's for my wife's birthday and our anniversary. I am really bored of ECR getaways and there's nothing new there. I am OK to drive longer upto 2-3 hours also. Guys, pls help out and suggest something fun! (We also have our 2 year old kid with us!) Help!
