Auto driver charged 500 Rupees to tell the route

I have a personal experience with an auto guy in Trichy who demanded / charged 500 rupees for telling the route. Let me explain… I was shifting house from Mumbai to Trichy and the lorry driver from north India was driving to Trichy with my belongings. He need to take a road off the chennai Trichy highway … the driver called me asking me for directions .. and was talking to me in Hindi which I replied with broken Hindi which ne never understood.. I asked to give the phone to near by person which turns to be this auto driver so that I will explain the road to be taken to my address … the auto driver took the phone and told me he will tell the route to the driver if he gives 500 rupees … I thought he was joking but he was serious about it… he never helped without money …
