Planning to move back to Chennai, knowing it might be a mistake.

Hi, I (26F) moved out of chennai when I was 17 for UG (Bangalore) and masters (Hyderabad) and back to Bangalore for work. Now I'm planning to move back, because I'm getting a remote job (if I get in). My family and boyfriend's family stays in chennai so it all makes sense. However, back then at 17, I was different person. And after being away from home with so much independence, moving back with my parents and the rules that come with that, at 26 feels very overwhelming. Also I had very few friends in chennai and none of them are still there. I know I might regret this, but my ultimate plan was to always move back. I can get to save money also. Has anyone been through this situation and maybe share what you did to make the transition easy? Also how to make new friends at 26? I'm such an introvert lol.
