Drone owners of chennai, please share your tips and advice to a newbie

So I'll be getting a dji mini series drone soon & damn excited about it. Along with the excitement i also have the anxiety of how am i gonna get it transported safely (frnd buying from US), and fly here without any hassles from these nosy authorities & keep it safe from getting lost. I literally put in half of my monthly salary in it & considering dji care refresh is not accessible here, i wanna keep it as safe as possible. Please share your wisdom in comments. TIA.
