Tidel park U turn flyover. Did it actually solve what its intended to do?

Recently the flyover has opened and the signal there is now scrapped. I don't use it much but wanted to hear people's opinions on it. Those who go from Thiruvanmiyur to Guindy, that flyover seems so narrow and how do heavy vehicles manage it? Also people going from SRP to Thiruvanmiyur have to go till Indra nagar take a U turn and then come back all the way. This doesn't make any sense to me. People who use it now, can you narrate your experience with it?
