Tea on EPS

I have lived in Salem for sometime and here is some tea (Impact of Kolly Subs) on him that others might not know. 1. His son Mithun is an active participant in backdoor politics just like Sabarisan in DMK. 2. His brother in law Venkatesh controls Sankagiri constituency (Near to Edappadi). EPS Could have given seat to him last time, but did not as he feared backlash over nepotism. Still the guy who got seat is close to Venkatesh and the latter is like a shadow MLA there. 3. During ADMK rule, EPS's cousin illtreated an Arunthathiyar community cop who got transferred. 4. The story told by Annamalai about him is alleged to be true. Back in the 80s he or his associates were alleged to have killed a guy due to property disputes after which he was safeguard by Sengottaiyan and Muthusamy. 5. EPS's native panchayat is Nedungulam which is in border of Salem district and in his own panchayat there are 3 booths out of which he never used to lead in 1 which is filled with Vanniyars till 2021 when he finally secured lead there as well. 6. During his tenure as highways minister he brought lot of development to Salem and at the same time earned thousands of crores through road contracts. 7. On a lighter note he is very fond of curd rice made with curd made from his home. In the 2000s even when he goes outside he used to pack curd rice from home and take it for lunch. 8. His close political friend was Kathiresan who belonged to Meenavar community in Edappadi town. It was Kathiresan who was like right hand to him during his formative years in politics. Kathiresan served as Chairman for Edappadi town once. 9. His main binami is alleged to be Bank Elangovan who is currently serving as District Secretary for ADMK in Salem.
