Roads are absolutely pathetic and driving is a nightmare

I recently returned to Chennai from Singapore and have driven in both cities. While in SG people are patient and drive in an orderly manner, namma oorla(and basically all other cities in India) everybody is driving like it's a mad max movie. They will never let you change lanes, constantly honking, going for the smallest of gaps and just being absolutely inconsiderate towards fellow drivers(Im not even going to begin about two wheelers and auto annas, the latter deserve a special place in hell) Plus the road conditions don't help, half of the main roads have no lane markings, potholes and bumps everywhere, speed breakers not marked at all and metro construction is just the cherry on top of the cake. it is absolutely taking the joy out of driving for me and just making me lose my mind. Just needed to vent...
