How did you convince yourself to move from Bangalore to Chennai?

I studied and worked in Chennai before I moved to Bangalore. I have been working in Bangalore for around 4 years now but I want to move to Chennai. Even after being in Bangalore for 4 years it does not feel like home to me. I visited Chennai a couple of weeks back and I felt right at home. I was without any hesitation able to strike a convo with the auto annas, cab drivers, the poo kadai akka at the temple, the watchman at the hotel I stayed and even some random people on the road for directions. The only thing that is stopping me from moving to Chennai is the salary that I am being offered in Bangalore. I work for a startup and AFAIK, there are no companies in Chennai that can offer as much as my current company in Bangalore. I love my Chennai makkal and I really want to come back to Chennai. Have any of you made that move from Bangalore to Chennai? How did you convince yourself? How do you feel now?
