Flyovers might take 10 years to be completed like the metro.

Once the magnificent Kathipara butterfly flyover was completed in 3 record years. The 2 wing flyovers in padi and koyembedu too were built in less than 5 years. Such rapid development has been missing in Chennai since 2010 in fact. It continues in the recent reign too. Teynampet - Saidapet flyover began construction in late 2023. 1.5 years now only 5% of work has been completed. Same with Maduravoyal-Port expressway. 3 years into the project and completion levels stand at 10-20% and the hyped iron bridge in Tnagar too is now 1.5 year out of deadline. Velachery bridge took 10 years, Medavakkam took 7 years. Its becoming worse and worse. What could be the reason?
