Hit and Run

Yesterday an Uncle hit my car near under construction flyover in Zirakpur. I confronted by stopping my car in front of his car, he rolled down his window I told him you've damaged my car please come out, he rolled up the window and started speeding his car. I followed he started a drag race. I don't have a dashcam, and had to attend a marriage function so even though I could catch him easily I had to let go the chase as he was running in the opposite direction. I called 100 right away and told everything gave the vehicle number. Later cop called me and asked me to come to police station (Zirakpur) I told him I can't come now but later I'll file a written complaint. My mind is not at peace coz I think I should not have been polite. Do char ma behen ki galiyan deta to uncle zaroor bahar ata aur matter wahi solve ho jata. It's not about damage it's about gulping self respect down the throat due to some random ass uncle. His car was blue jimny CH01CS0754. I want to track this mofo down and damage his car to satisfy my mind as he was running for no fear of consequences and I wanna give him consequences. I don't think I'm wrong here. Do you think I'm wrong in giving him an eye for an eye reply?
