Tips on how to avoid getting your post deleted.
Hello everyone, I hope you’re all doing well. We have been recently seeing a lot of Low-effort posts on the sub, that regretfully we needed to remove to maintain and increase the collective quality of posts on this SubReddit. Therefore, we have prepared this small guide that can help you create better posts that get engagement when sharing any personal events or asking for information. 1. If you are sharing any pictures regarding food/drinks, always include the location and if possible your recommendations for that place. Only pictures with a witty caption are unacceptable as this is not Instagram. 2. If you are asking for help that is somewhat generic- recs for barbers etc, utilise the search bar of the subReddit once. It will give you many answers and you will be prepared to ask a more specific question if it has not already been answered. 3. When asking for help for recommendations or how to buy specific items- please mention your budget, your preferred location and any other details that will help others to guide you better. *light on the pocket, reasonable* are debatable terms for all individuals. 4. We do not allow dating posts on this subReddit to avoid scams/catfishing/harassment, so please refrain from them. There are better subs for this out there. 5. Last but not the least, please only post things that are related to Chandigarh/tricity in some manner. For example- sharing photos/experience of visiting kasauli and nearby places is okay and we welcome that. But anything further like agra/delhi/manali, is not conducive to the majority of people in this subReddit. The rule of the thumb is to post things in a manner that are helpful for the community. Sharing your interests/hobbies/likes and dislikes is great but on a community level instead of personal. For example- if you like to paint, seeking other similar minded community members to a meetup/discussion is great, but sharing your interest just for engagement/Karma farming without any use for others’ responses is unacceptable. That is all from us folks! Thank you for your time. If you have any questions/ recommendations, please let us know in comment section and they will be addressed.5
