Maybe you can help?
There’s a place near the PEC College barrier, close to Nayagaon, where my sister noticed a dog a few days ago. He’s wearing a collar, and it’s clear he’s a pet. He struggles to cross the road and shows signs that only a pet would—gentle and confused, like he’s waiting for someone to help him. He doesn’t look like an indie breed either. My sister has been feeding him every day, but it’s heartbreaking to see him like this. He’s not built for the harsh conditions outside, and it’s clear he doesn’t know how to fend for himself. Today, I saw him too, and my heart sank. He’s been out there for weeks, getting weaker and weaker. I can’t imagine how scared and lost he must feel.I wish I could take him in, but I already have a dog and can’t manage another. It’s painful to watch him suffer, knowing I can’t do more. He needs help, but I don’t know of any NGO that can take him in. Is there anyone who can help—someone who can contact an NGO or adopt him?1
