Dear drivers who aren’t from Chandigarh
This is not a rant or a vent post. Merely an educational post. There are two kinds of slip roads in chandigarh. 1. Has a traffic light for slip roads like one above. This is for safety of cyclists and also has a traffic light for them as well (has a cycle made in the light). 2. Does not have a light for slip roads. These slip roads are free to turn and do not require you to stop but only to slow down. ****HOW TO DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN THE TWO**** 1. Check to see if the side path has two or more poles of traffic lights. 1 traffic light means slip roads has no light. 2. If there are two separate poles and one pole has cycles made on it instead of normal green and red lights, its for the cycles and means opposite for you. If the cycle light is green, stop to give way to cycles. If it is red, you can pass. Please for the love of God do not stop where there is no slip roads traffic light cos it causes a long traffic jam. Additional info: in some cases the slip roads being longer than normal have two light poles one at starting and other at end. The end one also has cycle lights. Kindly follow the slip roads lights with the arrow and not the cycle ones. Thank you.🙏 P.S. to mods: please make a separate flair for education cos tabhi kuch logon ko samajh aayega ke yeh yaad rakho… nhi toh bakchodi ya rant samajh ke bhool jaate hain 😂3
