Is Ignis the right car for me?
I'm a beginner looking to buy my first car in family. Tried looking at used car market in Bangalore but the prices are atrocious. So I thought why not put a little bit more money and get a new car. Why I think Ignis (zeta, manual) would be the best for me: 1. Hassle free ownership (Good service, less maintenance) 2. Very good engine in a small car (Good for city use) 3. Affordable (one dealership quoted 8.1L for zeta manual on road + rto + insurance (1+3), maybe i can negotiate further with other dealerships) My use case would be weekend city driving, and maybe 3 or 4 inter city trips in a year. I have 4 in my family. So passenger comfort is also a factor. I was also looking at Baleno as a more premium, although costlier choice. But online feedback I've seen is that it might be too low and wide for a noob driver in city traffic driving (also Bangalore traffic is extra crazy). So is this the best car for me? Or are there others out there that I can consider? Please help out your fellow redditor 🙏 I'm thinking of making the purchase by March end, heard there might be good offers at the end of fiscal year. What sort of discounts can I push for? Please share your experience.2
