Honda did not let me complete my PDI in their stockyard despite the fact that they sent me all the way there to conduct the PDI.
Not sure if this is normal/standard. My dealer told me to go to their stockyard which is 70kms from the city to do a PDI for Amaze CVT new gen. They did not tell me anything before going that xyz is not allowed. I hired an external PDI agency. Once there the engineer conducted most of the external checks. After that when he was about to conduct the onboarding diagnostic scan, we were told that Honda is not allowing it. Apparently that scan can 'wipe out' certain things (I did not understand what) and so they wont allow it. They will only allow it after Honda has conducted their internal PDI which can only happen in their showroom some 70kms away inside the city. And they wont send the car to the showroom before I pay the entire amount. And I had made it clear to them during booking that I am not paying anything more than the booking amount before I am satisfied with the PDI. Now I dont know what to do. Is this normal? Like is this standard practice? The engineer said this is the first time he has heard of it. Any advice/Tips? Edit: Now they are refusing to return my booking amount.4
